Satya Nadella, head of a research divison at Microsoft, has following to say about search:
** 40 percent of search queries go unanswered or give no results.
** Half of the queries are about searchers returning to previous tasks.
** 46 percent of search sessions are longer than 20 minutes.
Inference: Search as an activity is time consuming.
