Browser free Windows 7 for Europe

By A Bisht

Bowing to the pressure from the European Union Commission, probing anti-trust, Microsoft has decided to sell Windows 7 without its Internet browser program, in European Union.

Microssoft will release a separate version of Windows 7 for distribution in EU. The version will not include Windows Internet Explorer (IE). Meanwhile, Microsoft will offer IE 8 separately and free of charge. The PC manufacturers may choose to preinstall IE 8 on Windows 7 machines or install an alternative web browser.

The move will give choice to the consumers and will benefit other browser makers. --------
