Mozilla Releases Firefox 3.5

Mozilla released Firefox 3.5 on Tuesday. Its believed to be 10 times faster than its original browser and two times faster than Firefox 3.0.

Firefox 3.5 is reported to have been in development for approximately 12 months.

It has a better JavaScript performance, more privacy features which includes a new private-browsing mode and support for open video, audio and location browsing. Its available in more than 70 languages.

With the use of Private Browsing feature nothing viewed online will be stored on the user's computer. This feature was developed to let users protect their privacy while browsing online, and to give them greater control over their personal data.

Another feature called Clear Recent History allows users to remove all private data or activity from browsing sessions.

Developers at Mozilla have also added a new TraceMonkey JavaScript engine which can compile a program in real time resulting in increased speed in both the browser and Web page content. The Location feature allows websites to provide information like points of interest and maps based on the user's location.

Firefox 3.5 also supports HTML 5 audio and video.
