Price of Olive Zipbook/netbook in India : Rs. 22,500 (Twenty Two Thousand Five Hundred)
Who is Olive, Olive or Olive Telecommunication, is the parent company of Haier Mobile and Tata Teleservices (TTSL). Olive launched India's first Netbook embedded with high-speed internet access for mobile internet connectivity and broadband access sometime in the last quarter of 2009.

3G embedded means the netbook comes bundled with Tata Teleservices' data packages (The advertisement on air mentions Tata Photon plus) which will bring to the consumer the convenience of connectivity 'Anytime, Anywhere'. This means with this netbook one doesn’t have to carry a wireless broadband stick that they put in the USB, every time they have to use wireless internet.
[Netbooks which are sometimes also called mini notebooks or ultraportables are a branch of subnotebooks, a rapidly evolving category of small, light and inexpensive laptop computers. So don’t bother too much about the term]

14) Inbuilt 3G Modem – olive 3g zipbook is India’s first netbook which has an inbuilt 3G modem. This means a user don’t have to carry a wireless broadband USB stick, which means a saving of around RS. 3000. In addition there’s less chances of wear and tear to modem as it’s inbuilt. Plus the company claims the inbuilt modem is 10 percent faster than the external USB modem.

The company has tied up with Tata Teleservices for its EVDO based Netbooks which will be available to consumer from select Tata Indicom Stores and through the Tata Photon channel.
