Google in acquisition talks with ITA software

According to Bloomberg, search giant Google is in talks with airline IT and services provider ITA Software, to acquire the latter for a price of $1 billion.

Although the money is big, but the trend in recent times indicates that Google will not be too worried about coughing out that much. A recent study by a research firm on the acuisitions and entry of Telecom companies in Asia; points that telecom companies in India are increasingly investing money on mobile banking searvices; although having little or no experience of the said field. Google's contemplation to buy ITA software should be seen from the same perspective where firms are increasingly entering into services to increase their revenues.

ITA Software is known for its airfare search and pricing system QPX, which is used by many U.S. and international airlines. --------
