Nokia launches three inexpensive smartphones

Earlier this year, Symbian foundation, the body which regulates the mobile OS software in smartphones from Nokia, had said that it'll bring smartphones which will be less than 100 dollars in 2010. It seems it is n its way to fulfill the promise; as the inexpensive phones from Symbian stable started rolling out. As expected Nokia is the vehicle for inexpensive phones.

Nokia Corp. has launched three less-expensive smart phones, including its first model expected to sell for less than 100 euros ($135).

The thrust of the three phones, which will be targeted at emerging markets, will be messaging and social networking at affordable prices.

The new Nokia C3, Nokia E5 and Nokia C6 handsets have full QWERTY keyboards, enable instant messaging and give access to e-mails.

Their expected selling prices are 90, 180 and 220 euros respectively, before taxes and subsidies.

In dollars, the new Nokia C3, Nokia E5 and Nokia C6 handsets will cost 114, 229 and 279 dollars respectively.

In Indian rupees, the new Nokia C3, Nokia E5 and Nokia C6 handsets will cost 5805, 11610 and 14190 Rupees respectively.

The new phones will be available during the second and third quarters of this year (around later half of 2010). --------
