Kineto Launches Smart WiFi Application for Android 2.2

Kineto Wireless, Inc., a supplier of solutions that allows delivery of mobile services over broadband, has launched an updated version of its Smart WiFi application for Google’s Android operating system version 2.2 or Froyo.

According to Kineto, Smart WiFi Application, based on the 3GPP UMA/GAN standard, turns existing WiFi access points into seamless extensions of the mobile network. By using the smart WiFi application, subscribers can now resolve indoor mobile coverage problems by receiving their voice and data services over existing WiFi access points.

The company is working with device manufacturers and mobile operators to pre-load the application onto devices. --------
