PayPal Launches Check Deposit capability to iPhone app

PayPal has added check deposit capability to its iPhone app last week. The new application allows the users to deposit checks by scanning them with iPhone camera.

The service is powered by BankServ.

BankServ allows users to deposit money into PayPal accounts by using the camera of their smartphone to click pictures of checks made out to them.

The new application is working well and it proved its potential right from the word go. In just 36 hours of its launch, more than 100,000 dollars worth of checks were handled by a Mobile Check Capture. --------
