Richard Branson to launch his iPad Magazine this week

Richard Branson, British industrialist, best known for his Virgin Group of over 400companies, key ones being Virgin Group music, cellphone and travel empire; and for his eccentic out of the box behavior and brand promotions; is launching his iPad magazine debuting this week.

Branson is teaming up with his 29-year-old daughter, Holly Branson, and veteran men's magazine editor Anthony Noguera, who once edited FHM, to launch a multimedia magazine dubbed "Project."
"Project" will focus on entertainment, international culture, design, business and travel. The first issue features Jeff Bridges on the cover and will be available on Apple's iTunes store for $2.99 starting this week.

Owing to iPad’s meteoric success, iPad magazines and newspapers are currently quite popular with publishing/media companies. News Corp., which also owns The Wall Street Journal, is also going to launch a newspaper for the iPad called the Daily, which sources familiar with the situation say could launch as early 2011. --------
