Students who aspire to take admission in elite engineering institutions in the country, are very familiar with FIIT JEE-- a student coaching organization that helps them prepare for engineering entrance exams. Such is the popularity of FIIT-JEE in Northern India, that a teacher at FIIT-JEE rightfully takes home 20-25 lakh Rupees annually.
Qatar based Investment bank QInvest has acquired a stake in India’s FIITJEE. Details about the deal and the size of stake are not disclosed.
This is the Qatar institution’s third investment in India where the test preparation market is estimated at $2bn or Rs 10,000 crores and is growing at a rate of 15%-20%.
Partnering with QInvest will also help FIITJEE (Forum for Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology) establish a stronger presence in the Middle East, as education represents the key priority in the region, especially Qatar.
