It appears, Facebook has reached a position in Japan, where it can profitably sell ad spaces on Facebook to companies, who are interested in advertising on the social network. Notably, the site has almost doubled its number of users in Japan to about 2.6 million in the past six months, reports market researcher Socialbakers.
To sell these ad spaces, the company has hired Dentsu Inc., Japan’s largest advertising company. Dentsu will provide consulting services for companies, for the next one year, that want to use Facebook for advertising and marketing.
Facebook, which has been focusing on Asia, Russia , opened an office in Japan in September.
