China currently has 457 million or 45.7 crore Internet users, according to the latest official count.
About 303 million or 30.3 crore of those users go online via their mobile phones.
Considering the high popularity of mobiel internet, China Mobile, the country's largest mobile carrier with nearly 590 million or 59 crore customers; has launched a new Chinese search engine, in collaboration with Xinhua.
