Microsoft associates with Indian websites to lure Indians download latest Internet Explorer

You may be aware of the fact that Firefox4 emphatically managed to get a market share double that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 9, which IE9 managed to get in a week of its launch, in just one day of its roll out. So in just two days now, Firefox4 is better grounded than IE9. But that doesn’t make Microsoft, leave the court to the rivals. Vying for a larger share of the browser market, by luring Indians to download latest Internet Explorer, IE9, Microsoft India has partnered with 29 of the most popular websites in India.

The aim of this association, with websites like the group buying website SnapDeal, e-commerce site Flipkart, online booking site BookMyShow , Photovault , ESPNCricinfo , Kotak Bank , PhotoVault, Naukri , Rediff SongBuzz, Reliance Global Call, Sameer Belvalkar's FrozenFrames.com, Sify, and Zapak Games; is to show off the capabilities of Internet Explorer 9. A move that can prove rewarding for Microsoft as India has numbers by its side. Notably, when all versions of browsers are taken together, Internet Explorer leads the pack with 45% market share.
