Gears of War 3 is a soon-to-be released game that is currently being developed by Epic Games for Microsoft Game Studios. This game will be the third and final installment of the current Gears of War arc.
The game will be set after the end of Gears of War 2 in a time where the imulsion has already mutated the members of the Locust and eventually turned them into an even more terrifying Lambent. Thus, the survival of humanity will greatly depend upon its last remnants and how they must work together to fight the stronger foe.
As for its gameplay, Gears of War 3 will be equipped with fully controllable mech ‘silverbacks’ that can be operated via assault or stationary mode. The game will also be introducing its four new playable heroines along with a new battle-hardened soldier named Jace Stratton. Apart from this, a wide range of New Locust and Lambent enemies will also be introduced as the game will be packed with a new mode that will go by the moniker of Horde 2.0.
The game can be played on single-player and multiplayer campaigns and will also be featuring a new four-player co-op.
As for its availability, the game will be launched in the US this September 20
and can be loaded on the Xbox 360 console.
