Fruit Ninja buys stake in animation firm PRA

Halfbrick, the Brisbane based creators of popular iOS game, Fruit Ninja, has announced buying a stake in a local animation studio, The People's Republic of Animation (PRA). Financial terms were not disclosed.

HalfBrick, Leading Australian smartphone games developer, hopes the partial acquisition will boost its production and scaling capabilities, informs HalfBrick CEO Shainiel Deo.

The first collaborative effort between the two companies will be an animated trailer for Halfbrick's upcoming mobile game Machine Gun Jetpack, which is due for a release later this year.
