Beware of ‘Man in wheelchair falls down the elevator shaft' Facebook Scam

Researchers at Sophos, have cautioned Facebook users of a Facebook scam, enticing visitors into clicking on a bogus video link. The said Scam video currently circulating on Facebook is luring visitors into clicking on a bogus video link with title:

Man in wheelchair falls down the elevator shaft *SHOCKING VIDEO* This Video is really shocking. a man in a wheelchair is falling down the elevator shaft.

If the user gets lured to clicking on the link, a bogus video player will entice the users into double clicking on the Play button, whereas they will also silently Like the video and further spread the campaign.

How the people are earning from this scam? By monetizing the scam campaign using online surveys as usual.

This Like-jacking scam is reported to be easily detected by Firefox’s NoScript add-on. --------
