A newly discovered planet is eerily similar to Earth and is sitting outside our solar system in what seems to be the ideal place for life. The planet's confirmation was announced Monday by NASA along with other Kepler telescope discoveries.
NASA's Kepler telescope is staring a particular part of the sky for the past few years; and has encountered a star which sometimes illuminates lower than what it normally does. This makes NASA scientists predict that, the dipping in the light intensity from the star is being cased by some planet revolving around it. Whenever the planet comes in between the star and the telescope; it obstructs the light coming from the star.
