The news is Apple has sent out invitations to media for a March 7 event, to be held at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10 am.
Most tech media people are unanimous on one thing: the event is the launch party for Apple’s next-generation iPad.
But is the event also the launch party of a new Apple TV? Some notable Tech and Apple news publishers are speculating this as well, this includes 9to5Mac (also cites its reliable sources familiar with Apple's upcoming product release ).
This line on the invitation,
"We have something you really have to see. And touch,”, points to this says Tech publication big-wig.
Earlier 9To5Mac, has shared that Apple will announce a new Apple TV that's internally code named J33 at the same March 7 event.
This speculation has not emanated after receiving of the invitation. The speculation of Apple's next attempt to enter the lucrative television market is buzzing, particularly since a biography of Steve Jobs revealed his vision in this context.
Based on the rumors, that are circulating over the last few weeks, below is the possible profile of new Apple TV:
New Apple TV will be full-blown television set, unlike the set-top boxes Apple currently sells under the Apple TV brand. It will have a variation of Apple's dual-core, ARM-based A5 processor that can stream 1080p video.
The iPad and other iOS-based devices will function as remote controls for the TV set, and connects to Apple's iCloud, iTunes, and App Store marketplaces.
The Apple’s next-generation HD television set runs iOS, incorporates the Siri digital voice assistant, and could retail for about $1,500 in the United States.
