World’s Smallest PC has arrived, is up for PreOrder

Couple of months ago in 2011, FXI Cotton Candy, was unveiled. The Cotton Candy is a dual-core computer that's the size of a USB stick! Yes it is.

Cotton Candy is the world’s first any screen cloud computer, weighing only 21 grams. It’s unique architecture will allow the device to serve as an ideal companion to smartphones, tablets, notebook PCs and Macs as well as will add smart capabilities to existing displays, set top boxes and game consoles.

Good thing is: you can pre-order one right now.

FXI Cotton Candy which impressed many has the following specs:

FXI Cotton Candy’s tiny little case, is home to a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor built by Samsung, along with an ARM Mali-400 GPU. It has HDMI-out, WiFi and a Micro USB port. It comes with pre-loaded Android or Ubuntu as the OS (Android Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich as well as Ubuntu). Handles MPEG-4 and H.264 video formats.

You can plug it into a TV and watch media on a Big screen.

But however small it may be, it soon will have a challenger. The Raspberyy Pi. The Raspberyy Pi is a British initiative to produce a similar product for around $35. But, Pi, however, can be used at home with a command line.

Price and Availability: FXI Cotton Candy is available for pre-order at $199. And will be shipped to you sometime in March. --------
