So far, more than 2 million or 20 Lakh computers around the world are believed to have been infected because of IE’s critical problem.
Things a user should do:
Surfing trusted sites only
Changing IE’s internet zone security to “HIGH” (But slows user’s web experience)
[How to change: Right click IE icon under start menu =>Go to Properties]
Surf the web not using an administrator/full privilege account; instead create a new user account which has limited rights to change the PC's settings, to surf the internet.
Keep antivirus software up to date (But this method is not very effective)
Trash IE for some more secure browsers (the best option to do), like:
Mozilla Firefox
Opera
Google Chrome
Safari
