Microsoft Launches A New Search Engine Named Bing

By Mani Raj

Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer announced on Thursday that the new search engine named Bing will replace Windows Live Search.

The new search engine is expected to be fully deployed by June 3.

Bing uses features like Best Match to find the best and closest answer for a search. It uses Deep Links to give searchers information on what a particular website offers.

The Quick Preview option opens up an additional window which give users more information about a certain website's relevancy.

The search engine also incorporates Instant Answers, a feature designed to provide information within the body of the search-results page.

With the launch of Bing, Microsoft will be trying to gain more search-market share from its rival search engines - Google and Yahoo.
