On Sep 28 2009, Apple has announced that over 2 billion apps have been downloaded from its App Store since its launch in Jul 2008.
Some Numbers:
Total number of app downloads from App Store till date ______2 billion
Number of Applications available on App Store__________85000
50 million iPhone and iPod Touch customers currently.
Over 125,000 developers in Apple's iPhone Developer Program.
more than half a billion apps downloaded this quarter
It’s interesting to note earlier this month, the company reported 1.8 billion downloads and over 75000 applications in App Store.
Thus in a 20 day or three week period it incremented 200 million downloads and 10,000 applications.
