US Search Engine Rankings August 2009

comScore has recently released the U.S. Search Engine Rankings for August 2009.

In August 2009, Americans conducted more than 13.9 billion core searches, up 3 percent from July.

Google accounted for the bear share with 64.6 percent search market share. Microsoft Sites although third in the rankings, gained most among the top players, versus July 2009, --a gain of 0.4 percentage points.

Google Sites______________64.6 percent (A gain versus Jul 2009 of .1 percentage point)

Yahoo! Sites______________19.3 percent (No change)

Microsoft Sites____________9.3 percent (Highest gainer)

Ask Network______________3.9 percent (No change)
