Last year when I was using Mozilla firefox web browser, I stumbled upon an add-on which used to warn me about risky web sites that can’t be trusted. The name of the add-on was WOT or Web of Trust. WOT is a safe browsing tool, which warns you about risky sites that cheat customers, deliver malware or send spam. In addition it also displays a trust rating, rated by WOT users, for every website.
During that time I even informed my readers about an Indian Newspaper site, which was shown to be infected with some malware (big sites cheat too).
Now I use Google Chrome. So I felt the need to have a similar add-on.
A little search, informed me that WOT is also available for Google Chrome (and Internet Explorer as well).
I have installed it, and it’s working well. You can install it too.
And one more thing—WOT informs you about inappropriate content for kids too.
