Google Guy Creates Facebook Connect Jammer

Call it an Engineer’s passion or an act with some outlier motives, but Google engineer Brian Kennish has created a Chrome browser extension/add-on, called “Facebook Disconnect,” which allows browsers to block Facebook from collecting data from the millions of sites using Facebook Connect. However, the said extension allows users to access Facebook.

The extension works in a similar manner as an ad-blocker; only difference being in place of ads this extension removes Facebook Connect boxes and leaves white spaces in their place. --------
