In an online poll conducted by reuters.com before the iPad launch (Wednesday, 27 Jan 2010); asking “whether they will be paying $500-$699 for the tablet?”
--37 percent of the respondents said they are will pay $500-$699 for the tablet
-- 30 percent weren't interested
-- 20 percent said they would even pay a higher price and are willing to pay $700-$899
Now as Apple has priced the tablet at $499 (or $500); going by the above poll, about 60 percent of the enthusiasts will be happy with the iPad price.
