According to Macrumours, quoting HotHardware, AT&T may be losing it's iPhone exclusivity (US) as early as Apple's media event on 27 January 2010. But the source is unclear who (or carriers) will be stepping in to carry iPhone along with AT&T.
At present in the U.S., AT&T remains the only mobile phone carrier that offers the iPhone and the current deal is rumored to be expiring in mid 2010 with indications that Apple has been working on a Verizon-compatible iPhone.
Although MAcrumours is certain of the announcement of a Verizon-compatible iPhone this year, it’s not sure how the “AT&T losing exclusivity” rumour would fit in an event believed to be focused on the new Apple Tablet.
