Ebay Q1 2010 numbers

eBay has released its first-quarter numbers and in most areas it beat the analysts’ estimates :

Expected revenue for entire 2010: in the range of $8.80 to $9.10 billion.
This is less than what experts would like it to be. Experts would like to see $9.12 billion.

In the following areas the numbers beat the anticipated, by a small margin:

Q1 2010 (Jan-mar 2010) revenue: $2.20 billion

Earnings per share: $0.42

Year-over year (Q1 2010 vs Q1 2009) increase in total payment volume: 35 percent

The company is happy with the results and finds the results achieving them their three-year growth and profitability goals. --------
