Nokia 5250 All-Touch entry level Phone Unveiled

Nokia has unveiled Nokia 5250--an All-Touch entry level smartphone(for inexpensive smartphone buyers). The phone is also being called Nokia 5250 Music Phone.

The all new Nokia 5250 is said to be music-centric and is a step higher version of the existing 5230/5235 handset.

The phone will ship with Ovi Music Unlimited this holiday season.

The new Nokia 5250 has the following:

1) run on Symbian^1((S60v5 Touch)


2) relies on quad-band GSM/EDGE networks and GPRS for data connectivity

3) has a 2.8-inch TFT touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 640 X 360 pixels

4) has a 2-megapixel camera

5) has a 51MB internal memory

6) Has a microSD memory slot supporting up to 16GB microSD cards

7) The company claims a talk time of up to 7 hours.24 hours while one listens to music

8) Has FM Radio

9) Phone size: 104 X 49 X 14mm

10) will come with Ovi Music Unlimited in selected territories

11) will come with a free copy of Guitar Hero 5 Mobile

12) Inbuilt Ovi Store

13) has pre-installed Ovi Share, to share photos directly to the web

14) Users can also access Facebook and MySpace through homescreen widgets

15) also supports a wide range of e-mail and instant messaging services

Price: Nokia 5250 will be available for 115 EUR (before taxes and operator subsidies) in Q4 2010 (Oct-Dec 2010). In Indian currency the price will be around Rs. 6,800 approx (exclusive of taxes). In India the phone will cost around Rs 7500.

The phone will possibly be available in Black, White, Purple and Blue colors --------
