Dell launches Inspiron Duo : A Hybrid Device

Dell has launched the Inspiron Duo in united States. Essentially a hybrid device that can be used both as a netbook and a tablet. The Inspiron duo sports a unique flip-hinge design, full keyboard and dock, allowing users to switch from touch to type to dock mode.

1) Has Intel Atom N550 dual core processor (1.5GHz)
2) Runs Windows 7 Home Premium
3) Dell duo Stage software
4) Has a 10 inch HD Touch-screen (10.1-inch HD (1366×768) display with capacitive multi-touch and HD accelerator for smooth HD playback; flips from touch to type)
5) has a hidden physical keyboard—when keyboard is not in use the netbook is like a tablet.
6) 250GB, 5400 RPM and 320GB, 7200 RPM hard drive options (vary by region)
7) 2GB RAM DIMM DDR3 800 MHz
8) Integrated 1.3MP Webcam and digital microphone
9) Two USB 2.0 ports; one headphone port

Price: Dell Inspiron Duo price in United States USD 549 ($649 with optional dock).In Indian rupees this will be around Rs 25000. Expect it to be launched in India soon.
