In less than a month of its launch, game developer Zynga’s CityVille has become the most popular Facebook application, and has surpassed Zynga’s previous major hit FarmVille in all areas.
According to AppData, CityVille now has 16.8 million daily active users, compared to FarmVille’s 16.4 million for FarmVille.
The number of monthly active users picture looks like this:
CityVille_________61.7 million users
FarmVille________ 56.8 million users
Zynga’s other two offerings in the top 5 are: FrontierVille and Texas HoldEm Poker.
The four app collectively have 184 million active users at present.
The only non-Zynga app to be in top 5 list is Phrases.
