With Motorola Xoom, an Android 3.0 or HoneyComb tablet, on the horizon ; it’s hard to pitch for a tablet which promises Android 2.2 or Froyo (as suddenly Honey Comb has made previous Androids on tablets look obsolete).
But if the tablet costs half the price of that of Xoom, a serious write-up becomes necessary.
Stream TV Networks plans to offer up its new eLocity A10 tablet for pre-order on February 15.
Barring the fact that, it runs Android 2.2; eLocity A10 tablet has some serious hardware -- like Nvidia's Tegra 2 T250 processor. Here are other specs:
1) A 1366x768pixel 10 inch IPS multi-touch screen
2) 512MB of DDR2-667 RAM
3) 4GB and 64GB of flash storage
4) A pair of 0.5W stereo speakers
5) 1.3MP front facing CMOS webcam
6) 3.5mm audio jack
7) 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB port
8) A microSD card slot to extend the storage
9) HDMI port
10) 3-axis accelerometer
11) Ambient light sensor
12) Vibrate mode
13) A docking port
The eLocity A10 tablet is a follow up of the A7 tablets but with raised standards in terms of experience and performance and features.
Price & Availability: The entry level 4GB model will cost $400 for early orders, while the 32GB and 64GB models will ship for $600 and $700, respectively. Stream TV Networks is launching the eLocity A10 mobile tablet for online pre-order on February 15, 2011 with http://Amazon.com, http://JR.com, http://TigerDirect.com, and http://BHPhoto.com.
