Google has brought some new features from Chrome’s beta channel to the stable build (although some reports are calling it Chrome 9, but the Google has not said it’s officially rolling out Chrome 9).
The three introductions are: WebGL, Chrome Instant, and the Chrome Web Store.
WebGL is a new technology which brings hardware-accelerated 3D graphics to the browser. With WebGL in Chrome, a user can experience rich 3D experiences right inside the browser with no need for additional software.
With Chrome Instant ( or Google Instant brought to Chrome), web pages that a user frequently visits will begin loading as soon as you start typing the URL. Without even pressing the Enter Key. If supported by a user’s default search engine, search results appear instantly as he/she types queries in the omnibox (difficult name for the 'address bar that sits at the top of the browser window and doubles as a search box). To try out Instant, you’ll need to enable it in the Basics tab of Chrome’s options.
Lastly, the Chrome Web Store, a part of Google plans to push web apps farther, is now open to all Chrome users in the United States. Google has added a link to the Chrome Web Store on the New Tab page, along with two sample apps. (If a user don’t use these sample apps, they will automatically disappear after some time).
Other newest additions in the Chrome Web Store include BBC GoodFood, Autodesk,Sesame Street, nine King.com Games and Marvel Comics. There are also many apps that take advantage of the latest web technologies to deliver an immersive experience, such as Tweetdeck and The New York Times.
