It appears -- Sony Ericsson's flagship 2010 handset, the Xperia X10, has tested its owners to the limit. The fact that it seems to officially stay on Android 2.1 (Android 2.1 Eclair)forever, has made some mod their Xperia X10 to try new things.
A developer of Android’s modding community has managed to run a Sony Ericsson Arc version of Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread on the Xperia X10. The present version is still imperfect, with no sound output or camera, but it sounds like the Dutch hacker has got the WiFi working as well as Bluetooth, Timescape and GPS.
