New Samsung Galaxy Tabs To Be Used In American Airlines Flights

Samsung Mobile has made a deal with American Airlines which will let their premium passengers on selected transcontinental and transoceanic flights to use Samsung's newest Galaxy Tab as their in-flight entertainment center. American Airlines is planning to install 6,000 of the Samsung tablets on selected international flights and domestic U.S transcontinental flights starting later this year.

This deal will help American Airlines to enhance the in-flight experience for premium passengers.  This deal will also boost Samsung's quest to familiarize traveling business executives with the entertainment and enterprise-ready capabilities of the new Galaxy Tab, which has a 10.1-inch touchscreen.

Although, American Airlines didn't specify exactly when the Samsung tablet will be available to passengers but U.S. consumers will be able to buy Samsung's new tablet beginning Friday. The new offering with a larger touchscreen is an opportunity for Samsung Mobile to grow its market share and to compete with Apple's Ipad.
