Just Like Apple and many other device makers; the US Army also wants its own App Store.
The US Army app store which is now a reality, as today, theUS Army officially announced a prototype of the US Army Marketplace, is a web-based app store that currently includes twelve different training apps (all apps for iOS) that have been approved for Army-wide use.
The US Army plans to soon include apps for Android devices as well.
In very near future, the US Army targets to expand considerably beyond those dozen odd apps and advance forward to a non-prototype stage.
The US Army App Store will enable Army members, organizations and third-party developers to release applications for Army-wide distribution.
Attention! Be ready for some stringent submission and approval processes.
