If you happen to own a phone with a low memory capacity,
you’d better learn how to move your apps to your phone’s SD card. However, that
cannot be easily done by simply toggling the application settings of your mobile
device. Just don’t fret because you will eventually learn how to do the said
procedure without taking a lot of time. All that you need to do is to refer to this
very simple tutorial.
Step 1: Download the free version of the ‘App 2 SD’ for
Android application from the Google PLAY Store. Install the said app to your
Android powered device. It doesn’t matter if it’s a tablet or a smartphone.
Step 2: Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions.
The app has three main tabs. One for ‘Movable’ while the other two are for ‘Phone
Only’ and SD Card. The Movable tab will show the apps that you can move to your
phone’s SD card. Long Press to select the app that you want to move.
Step 3: You will then see a list of options. Select the
option for Move to SD card. After which, the app will be automatically moved to
your phone’s SD card. That’s it!
Do keep in mind that there are apps that cannot be moved to
your phone’s external storage. For example, Facebook for Android, Go Launcher
EX, Go Locker, Juice Defender and Lookout. Still, the procedure itself would
come very handy especially when your phone is almost out of free memory. If you
do not want your phone to lag, check the storage options of the apps that you
want to have. You can also take advantage of the App 2 SD’s ‘Clear Cache’
option to clear the cached files of your Android device.
