Quad-core LG Optimus G now official, Korea launch in September
The LG device which made the headlines when Qualcomm announced it would be supplying a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor to LG, has been announced. The phone is the LG Optimus G.
The LG Optimus G will launched in Korea next month i.e. September 2012, followed by an international launch.
The 8.45mm thickLG Optimus G is a powerful device with HD display , quad-core processor, and super-strength battery, which can power the phone for 800 full recharge cycles.
LG Optimus G Specs and Features:
Display: True 4.7-inch 280x768 pixel HD IPS+1 display, capable of delivering 470 nits of brightness, avoid screen burn-in, and use 70% less power than a regular LCD when displaying all-white.In addition, the Optimus G also features G2 Hybrid Touch technology, with a 30% thinner gapless panel, reducing the distance from glass to screen.
Quad Core Processor: Adding to its quad-core phone line-up, already has one quad-core phone in the market, the LG Optimus 4X HD; the Optimus G is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, on the APQ8064 chipset, combined with MDM9615 baseband LTE chipset. According to Qualcomm, the APQ8064’s design features 4 asynchronous CPU cores, with independent control for maximum efficiency.

Android 4.0.4 ICS OS: LG Optimus G will ship with Android 4.0.4 ICS onboard, with an Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update already been announced.

Availability of LG Optimus G: Among the First countries to get the LG Optimus G, apart from Korea is Japan. Japan will get the Optimus G via NTT DoCoMo, in October or November.
Price of LG Optimus G: No word on Pricing Yet.But the device is expeted to be more pricier than the Optimus 4X HD. --------
