Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 Android ICS Smartphone Specs & Features
Duos – the term that Samsung uses for its dual-SIM devices. That includes the Samsung Galaxy S II Duos, Galaxy Y Duos and the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562. The latter has not yet been released in the market.

That being said, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 is the official dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S. Appearance wise, the smartphone’s design has been somewhat patterned from the Galaxy S III as it also flaunts its curved edges with thin glossy bezels. Just don’t expect too much because its specs and features won’t be as grand as the third-generation Galaxy S. Instead, it will be equipped with a decent 4.0-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen that’s been set at a full screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Aside from the fact that it will be running on Qualcomm’s 1 GHz Cortex A5 Snapdragon processor, you might as well know that the phone will sport the latest Android OS and that is Android 4.0 ICS. It is unlikely for the phone to be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Nonetheless, you can still take advantage of its 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash. That means you can take snapshots and have them uploaded to StreamZoo or Instagram. The phone also flaunts its front facing VGA camera that can be utilized for video chats. You can also opt to have your files stored into the phone’s 4GB of internal storage while its 512MB RAM can cater to a couple of lightweight apps. It is also good to know that you can use the Galaxy S Duos S7562’s stereo FM radio to listen to your favorite music stations.

Here’s a brief list of the Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562’s features and specifications:

- runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- sports a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor
- has a built-in HTML browser with Adobe Flash Lite support
- offers 4GB of internal storage, external micro SD card storage limit is up to 32GB
- connects to the internet via 2G, 3G or Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- supports micro USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0
- dual-SIM feature, supports two SIM cards on GSM
- 10.5mm thick, weight is 120 grams
- uses a 1500 mAh standard battery, Li-ion

Apparently, Samsung aims to use the new design of the Galaxy S Duos to attract the interest of those who cannot afford to buy the Galaxy S III. We may not be able to guess the phone’s actual retail price but it will obviously be sold for a price that can be compared to that of a mid-range Android device. How about you? Would you be interested to get a Samsung GS3 look alike for a cheaper price?

Top Ten Android Phones for 2012

Here are the top ten Android phones for 2012. So don’t just get a phone because you are attracted to its color or form factor. There are certain things that you should know or consider before you bring the money out of your purse. If you still don’t have any particular phone in mind, the following phones may succeed in getting your attention.

Samsung Galaxy S 3

The Samsung Galaxy S 3 is a very powerful quad core smartphone that runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It flaunts its 4.8 inch Super AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It’s the successor of the popular Galaxy S 2 and it’s fully equipped with impressive features such as the S Voice and Smart Stay eye tracking.

HTC One X

Currently dubbed as HTC’s flagship smartphone, the HTC One X can definitely take pride of its 8MP camera with simultaneous HD video and image recording. Such feature can allow you to take photos and videos at the same time. Of course, it’s also nice to know that the said phone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as it is already known that it’s a quad core based smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Beam

If you want to view your movies without opening your laptop or home theatre system, choose the Samsung Galaxy Beam. That’s because the smartphone is equipped with a Pico projector and it can easily cast images on a white wall or screen. Specs wise, the smartphone runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread and it is powered by a 1GHz dual core NovaThor U8500 processor.

Nokia PureView 808

If the Galaxy Beam boasts its built-in qHD projector, the Nokia PureView 808 boasts its stunning 41MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash. The rest of the phone’s specs and features may not be that impressive but the camera itself can be a great selling point especially to those who are fond of taking a lot of high-quality photographs. The PureView 808 also flaunts its Dolby Digital Plus audio system with 16GB of storage and 512MB of RAM.

Meizu MX 4-Core

Meizu is very popular Chinese brand. In fact, it is being considered as the Chinese contemporary of Apple. Now with Meizu MX 4-Core, you’ll have a very reliable and classy-looking device that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone also sports a 4.0 ASV display that’s been set at 640 x 960 pixels of full screen resolution.

Apart from the above mentioned smartphones, you may also want to check the LG Optimus 4X HD, Huawei Ascend D Quad, Sony Xperia S, Motorola Atrix 3 and ZTE Era. Most of these smartphones are already available at your favorite online e-retailers and even at your nearest mobile stores.

Of course, there are still lots of phones that are yet to make their own debut in the mobile market. It’s just that there’s still a possibility for these phones to be delayed so it would be best to stick to what’s currently available.
