South Korea may be called the world's most advanced country in tech. That's why it's not surprising if some unbelievable claim emanates from the country. The country's Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) the week ago announced that it would invest 1.6 trillion won ($1.5 billion) to develop 5G technology which will be 1,000 times faster than 4G LTE.

When MEST 5G will be available to inhabitants of South Korea?
MEST plans to roll out a trial 5G service by 2017. The commercial service will be available by 2020. --------
