Earthquakes are as sudden as they were 25 years ago. Humans have still to come up with a way to precisely predict an Earthquake. Because of vertically pilling cities, and square box construction with heavy material, the devastation caused by earthquakes has significantly increased. A Stanford team has developed inexpensive design modifications that could be incorporated into new homes. By outfitting their boxy, two-story house on sliding isolators so it skated along the trembling ground and including extra-strength walls. The good thing about this design is it's boxy design. Since people don't want to live in domes and burroughs hence the design is good. You will need the residential earthquake insurance, for some time though. The house in the video is just a Real House size prototype.
