Foxconn to Manufacture 90 million iPhone 6 in 2014
Foxconn, iPhone 6, smartphones, mature markets, global smartphone shipments, EPS, Numbers,
Foxconn, world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, is expecting to manufacture 90 million units of the iPhone 6 from Apple in 2014.  These orders are expected to land across the year.

Foxconn is expected to post an EPS (Earning per Share) of NT$9.29 (US$0.31) in 2014 and NT$10.26 in 2015.

The growth rate of global smartphone shipments are expected to land at 28% in 2014 as compared to 40% in 2013. Sales of smartphones in mature markets are likely to edge up only 4%, down from 5% a year ago. ---------

Foxconn Revenue Growth October 2013
Foxconn sees a 13.25% Growth in Revenue in October 


Foxconn, world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, and a contract manufacturer for Apple , posted consolidated revenues of NT$382.621 billion (US$12.97 billion) for October 2013, growing 13.25% on month and 13.15% on year, and NT$3.007 trillion for January-October.

The growth in October 2013 consolidated revenues was mainly due to shipments of the iPhone 5s and iPad Air. If God keeps blessing Apple, Foxconn will see its fortunes heaed to the north too. In recent times though, Foxconn has starting coming out of the shadow of Apple. Foxconn will be considering establishing an automated production base in Arizona, USA.

Foxconn EPS will be NT$8.03 (US$0.27) in 2013
Foxconn's january to April 2013 revenues were seen by many as how Foxconn, the contract manufacturer for Tech Giant Apple, sees itself now. With an heightened confidence, Foxconn is expecting its sales to gain momentum in the second half of 2013, with an improvement in the product mix completed in the first half.

Foxconn, a leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, is expecting its EPS (Earning Per Share) record to grow beyond NT$8.03 (US$0.27, recorded in 2012) in the second half of 2013. Foxconn has seen its revenue growth from 13.1% to NT$3.45 trillion in 2012. Foxconn is confident in achieving the new highs as there has been an improvement in the product mix completion in the first half of 2013.

Foxconn has plans to spin off more of its business units in the next few years after the planned separation of its connector manufacturing units, the Network Interconnection Business Group (NWInG). The NWInG will be named Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) and is likely to be listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) at the end of 2013.

Foxconn is planning to list two more subsidiaries within next two years, including the Tainjin-based CNTouch, which manufacture carbon Nano-tubes for touch applications, sensors, cables and LED lighting products along with a subsidiary which manufacture glues and tapes.

It will be interesting to See Foxconn growth under an improvement in the product mix and ambitious goals. ---------

Courtesy Apple, Foxconn touches plus USD 100 billion Revenues

Taiwan-based OEM firm (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Foxconn, world's leading manufacturer of computer components and systems, is the company which makes touch displays for tech Giant Apple (iPhone, iPad etc.). Although Samsung also makes a share of Apple device displays; but Foxconn makes the bear-share (Yes, that's why Samsung devices have great displays).

Courtesy Apple's iPad , Foxconn dominates the Tablet OEM Business. The rising demand for tablets, has made Foxconn continue its domination in the tablet OEM business in this fiscal cycle as well.

Some Numbers:

In November, Foxconn has seen revenues reaching a historical high of NT$351.733 billion (US$12 billion), representing an on-month growth of 27.6%. Foxconn's December revenues will continue to be strong and the fourth-quarter revenues are likely to exceed NT$1 trillion, an on-quarter growth over 40%. Sources believe that Foxconn's revenues have been heavily influenced by Apple products and also for the orders that Foxconn has received from Amazon and Microsoft.

Instagram Photo app gets past 1 Million users mark
Photo-sharing free app Instagram has passed the 1 million users milestone. The app took three months to reach the 1 million number. Notably the twitter photo poster Twitpic took about a year get the same number of users.

Launched on October 6 at the iTunes App Store, Instagram app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch became aspiring within minutes of its launch, says Instagram. The app involves a slew of languages -– including Russian, Chinese and Italian –- and a range of filters with names like “Toaster” and “Earlybird” that users can apply to photos.

Some of the key offerings from other developers in social photo app space are Flickr, PicPlz, Path etc. ---------

Number of Kindles expected to sell in 2010
Focusing on eBooks rather than E-reader seems to be paying for Amazon. According to Bloomberg, quoting anonymous sources, Amazon will probably sell more than 8 million Kindle e-readers this year, compared with about 2.4 million last year. A 233 percent growth compared to 2009. ---------
