A recent report on search advertising by Adgooroo indicates that Google is doing well with its advertising revenue but Yahoo is not. But Bing is making some interesting gains in terms of advertising.
According to the report, for the year ending in June 2009, Bing grew its advertiser base by 35%. Some of the new advertisers making it to Bing's top 25 lists are Dell, Edmunds, Home Depot and Sears.
Google was able to grow its advertiser base by 52%. Besides that, Bing is attracting many established pay-per-click advertisers to try its service.
Microsoft is implementing a two-stage strategy with Bing. The first stage is to grow their audience base and the second stage is to focus on attracting more advertisers.
The upcoming quarter will be more interesting to watch Bing's performance as it tries its best to establish itself in the pay-per-click advertising sector against the very well-established Google and Yahoo.
