Microsoft will be selling its digital advertising arm Razorfish to French advertising company Publicis (the fourth largest advertising firm in the world).
Under the deal, estimated to be $530m (£318m) :
-- Microsoft will own 3 percent of Publicis.
-- Microsoft will make minimum future spending with Razorfish.
Interesting Facts:
--Microsoft acquired Razorfish in 2007. Microsoft had bought aQuantive, as a part of a wider $6bn acquisition in 2007; Razorfish was among the three digital marketing firms, owned by aQuantive.
-- Post deal, digital communication will make for 25 percent of Publicis's revenue after the deal. At present it makes up for 21 percent.
