Merely eight months after its launch-- as a device which will reinvent the home phone; and in a way help Verizon regain its loss of customers in traditional home phone service; Verizon on Tuesday 29 Sep 2009 has discontinued the Verizon Hub.
The Verizon hub is a device which combined a home telephone and Web applications.
The device is by, Verizon Wireless, a venture of Verizon Communications Inc and Vodafone Group Plc.
--At the time at its launch in February 2009, analysts were skeptical about the success of the device; as they believed that the company will have hard time convincing the customers, in a weak economy, to pay extra for a traditional home phone.
