According to a recent survey by PMN and Pace University survey, although Gen Y spends considerable time on social networks, it’s the email and texting which they would least give up for one week.
When asked “what they would least like to give up for one week” the Gen Y responded this way:
Email and texting(text messaging)____________26 percent
Watching TV_____________________________15 percent
Talking on phone__________________________11 percent
Visiting social networks_____________________9 percent
Reading magazines_________________________7 percent
Visiting Non social network sites_____________ 6 percent
Thus for Gen Y while Email and texting are most essential activities; Visiting Non social network sites is least essential one.
