Improved Google Docs in 2010 | Where Microsoft Word and Google Docs stand at present

According to Google Enterprise president Dave Girouard, Google plans to make 30 to 50 improvements to Docs’ features, performance, and more; by 2010. And then Google Docs will become, according to Girouard, an overkill tool, challenging the Microsoft word dominance.

Whether Google Docs will challenge the Microsoft word in 2010, only time will tell; but a look at where the two stand at present will make later comparisons between the two easy.

At present:
Microsoft has 500 million Office users (Word is its part), while Google Apps, a bundle of business applications, of which ‘Docs’ is a part, has 20 million users --------
