After launching an iphone App more than two months ago, gaining for it the distinction of being the first Wall Street Firm to release an app for the iPad and iPhone providing clients with access to its research; Morgan Stanley has now added another first to its name.
Morgan Stanley has now become the first WS firm to release an application for Google’s Android platform.
According to the investment bank, it rolled out the new app(very similar to iPhone/iPad apps) on demands from its current clients.Another more logical reason is Android taking lead in the U.S. consumer smartphone market.
The Morgan Stanley's Android app will allow clients to filter research based on their investment profiles and personal preferences. In addition, just like its older counterpart, the Android app features :
1) Risk/Reward-- provides updates to investors with bull and bear scenarios
2) Best Ideas -- Provides clients quick access to what Morgan Stanley considers its “lead stock investment insights.”
3) Subscriptions ---allows clients to save and follow specific companies or topics.
