Panasonic unveils Lumix DMC-GF2 Camera

After Lumix GF2,on November 4, Panasonic unveiled the Lumix DMC-GF2 -- smallest and lightest mirrorless camera ever.

Specs and features:

1) Has a 3” touch-screen LCD, makes operations like focus setting, shutter release, zooming and focusing easy for users at any level.

2) Full HD video recording and is compatible with Panasonic’s interchangeable 3D lenses.

3) The GF2 is 7% lighter and 19 % smaller than its predecessor GF1 with the built-in flash retained.

4) Has the Venus Engine FHD image processor enabling GF2 to deliver fast pace performance and high-quality photos and video recording.

5) Advanced noise reduction technology promises clear balanced images even at any ISO level which range from 100 to 6400.

6) The 12.1 MP Live MOS sensor is coupled with the internal Dust Reduction System which can resist damage from dust while delivering high quality pictures and can record video at 1080p as well as 720p AVCHD.

7) Has AF tracking function to easily capture moving objects sharply. Other AF options include the 23 point focusing and Face Detection.

8) Has the iA mode that features the Intelligent Scene Selector (17 scene modes are available) with which the camera can switch to appropriate mode as the user touches different subjects in the frame.

9) Has a strong Aluminum body.

Kit option includes a 14mm F2.5 Lens kit and 14-42mm Zoom Lens kit.

The camera will be on sale by January 2011. No word on pricing yet. --------
