A Chinese developer, Yioson Technology, has developed Apple Peel 520, which turns an iPod Touch into an iPhone-like device. Apple Peel 520 is coming to US this week.
The add-on device, which recently went on sale in China, and billed as a more affordable option for users wanting to get their hands on an iPhone; is a protective case equipped with a dock connector, battery and SIM card, that slips on to an iPod Touch. In a statement on made on Monday, GoSolarUSA said that the first demonstration models of the Apple Peel will arrive in America this week.
The Apple Peel features five hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby use on its battery. Though GoSolarUSA has not revealed the price yets; but the Chinese maker is selling the device in China for 520 Yuan ($US77).
